App Anas Smart Road Privacy Policy

Before acquiring your personal data through the use of the Anas Smart Road App, Anas S.p.A. invites you to carefully read the information regarding the protection of personal data.

I. Data Controller and DPO In this section we indicate our points of contact

II. Types of personal data In this section we indicate which types of data we process

The personal data subject to processing may belong to the following categories:

• common: telephone contacts in the address book of the device.

• other personal data: position data (GPS); vehicle movement data (gyroscope); vehicle acceleration and deceleration data (accelerometer).

The App randomly generates, at the time of installation, a unique ID, i.e. an alphanumeric text string not associated with identification codes of the device (e.g.: cod. IMEI, IP) or user identification information.

The unique ID remains the same with each use of the App subsequent to installation and is replaced by a new ID only if the App is uninstalled and subsequently reinstalled.

All processed data is associated with the unique ID.

The data collected by the sensors (GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope) are also collected in the background, when the App is closed or not in use, to allow the sending of personalized alerts aimed at improving and facilitating travel experience and the production of personalized statistics even when the device screen is off.

III. Purposes of processing In this section we indicate the purpose of the processing carried out on your data

 Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

1. to send personalized alerts aimed at improving and facilitating your travel experience and producing personalized statistics based on the information received from the sensors of the device in use on board the vehicle (GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer) (Legal Basis: consent);
2. to provide a quick emergency call service to the telephone numbers selected by the user from those stored in the address book of the device (Legal Basis: consent).

The provision of the data for the pursuit of the purpose referred to in letter a. is "optional". Failure to provide this information will make it not possible to use the services offered by the Anas Smart Road App.

The provision of the data for the pursuit of the purpose referred to in letter b. is "optional". Failure to provide this information will make not possible the use of the quick emergency call service to the telephone numbers selected by the user from those stored in the address book of the device.

Any consent given may be freely withdrawn at any time, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing carried out before withdrawal. Withdrawal of consent can be done by customizing the privacy settings of your device.

In relation to minors under the age of 14, pursuant to art. 2-quinquies of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and subsequent amendments, consent is valid if expressed by those who exercise parental responsibility.

The data received are analyzed at an aggregate level for statistical analysis to support the planning and management of maintenance interventions on the road and motorway network under the responsibility of Anas S.p.A.

IV. Data recipients In this section we indicate who processes your data and to whom they are communicated

For the pursuit of the aforementioned purposes, the personal data provided may be processed by subjects who work under Anas S.p.A. and who need it for the job performed or for the hierarchical position held. Such subjects are suitably trained in order to prevent data loss, data destruction, unauthorised access to the data or unauthorised processing of the data.

V. Data retention In this section we indicate how long we keep your data

Anas S.p.A. retains the unique ID and data received from the sensors (GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer) for the time necessary to pursue the purpose of statistical analysis.

The telephone numbers you have selected from those in the device address book and the emergency calls made are not stored.

VI. Rights of data subjects In this section we indicate which rights we guarantee you

EU Regulation 2016/679 (Articles 15 to 22) grants data subjects the exercise of specific rights. In relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to ask Anas S.p.A. for access, rectification, deletion, limitation, objection and portability. In addition, you can lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority, which in Italy is the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali.
